What we do with your details
Written in plain language on purpose. A party that asks you to trust it with your political affiliation should be able to explain itself without a lawyer in the room.
The short version
- The only thing this website collects is what you type into the contact form.
- We use it to reply to you, and to send you the class pack if you asked for it.
- We never sell it and we never share it outside the Movement.
- You can ask us to delete it at any time. You do not have to give a reason.
- No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising cookies. None.

Nothing you send through that form is ever published on this website.
Why the law makes this a careful subject
South African law — the Protection of Personal Information Act, POPIA — treats your political persuasion as special personal information. Processing it is prohibited by default under section 26, with a narrow exception in section 31 for political parties handling their own members' details.
That is exactly why this site asks for as little as possible. If you write to us and tell us you support the Movement, you have chosen to tell us that, and we hold it only so we can reply. We do not build a supporter list off this website.
Becoming a member happens somewhere else
Formal membership is handled by the national Movement through their own registration form, which is a Google Form on their systems, not ours. What they collect and how they hold it is governed by their privacy terms, not this page. We never see that form's contents.
Where your message is stored
This site is hosted on Netlify, and contact form submissions are stored in the Netlify dashboard, which only a small number of people can open. They are forwarded to the Movement's email address so that somebody actually reads them.
How long we keep it
Until it has served its purpose and you have had your reply, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first.
Getting your details changed or deleted
Email info@truthandsolidarity.org.za or use the contact form and say what you want done. Under POPIA you may also ask what we hold about you, and complain to the Information Regulator if we handle it badly:

What this website itself does
No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising scripts, no advertising cookies. The site loads nothing at all from other companies' servers — no fonts, no frameworks, no trackers. That is deliberate, and it is also why the site is small enough to open on prepaid data.
The Know Your Vote course stores your progress and the name on your certificate in your own browser. That never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data clears it.
Be careful of people claiming to be us
We do not ask for banking details, ID numbers or payment through this website, by WhatsApp or over the phone. If someone does, it is not us. Check with us first.
